About the role

The role of Mechanical Engineer involves working with product development and mechanical design, from concept to maintenance, with a focus on delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to AFRY's clients. You will become part of a dynamic internal team of 12 people with diverse competencies in mechanics, project management, and embedded development.

Responsibilities

  • Work with product management on short and long-term assignments
  • Apply mechanical design using CAD tools
  • Manage and optimize data in PLM systems

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Documented experience in product development or mechanical design
  • Good knowledge of at least one CAD tool (e.g., Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Creo)
  • Experience working with PLM systems
  • Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Valid driver's license (Category B)

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Extensive experience in product development or mechanical design
  • Experience from the defense industry
  • Experience with complex mechanical design tasks
  • Advanced knowledge of Creo
  • Advanced knowledge of SolidWorks

Other information:

  • Start: According to agreement during autumn 2026
  • Location: In Örebro and surrounding areas, including Lindesberg, Karlskoga, and Arboga
  • This position is security-classified, which means a security check, including registry control, will be conducted in connection with employment (in accordance with Chapter 3, Section 1 of the Security Protection Act).
