Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Clinic 3 Paramedicine, Eskilstuna
About Us
The occupational therapy clinic at Mälarsjukhuset provides rehabilitation in both outpatient and inpatient care. We are now looking for an occupational therapist to join our medical wards. Working in inpatient care is rewarding but sometimes demanding, as we play a crucial role in the discharge process.
The occupational therapy team shares premises with physiotherapists and rehabilitation nursing assistants. This ensures that colleagues are always nearby to ask questions, reflect with, seek help from, or provide assistance in daily work.
Your Responsibilities
As soon as a patient is admitted to the ward, the discharge process begins. While sometimes only medical needs need to be addressed, an occupational therapy assessment and intervention are often required. You will be based in our facilities but assigned to a specific ward where you meet patients to assess the need for rehabilitation measures and assistive devices.
In addition to your assigned base ward, you will be part of a coverage group consisting of a small number of occupational therapy colleagues, with whom you will, among other things, plan holidays. You will work independently and take responsibility for your tasks in a structured manner. At the same time, you will collaborate closely with physiotherapists, the ward team, patients and their relatives, as well as other healthcare providers.
Your Qualifications
- You are a licensed occupational therapist or will graduate at the end of the upcoming term.
- A valid driver's license (Category B) is preferred, as home visits may occur.
- We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
