Apex.se is undergoing strong development and we are now in need of a car builder/mechanic and general handyman for our operations in Önnestad.

The core of the role involves converting standard cars, providing tire service at racing and rally events, and managing seasonal wheel changes (summer/winter).

We build race cars, weld roll cages, and modify suspensions, brakes, etc., in our workshop.

During tire seasons, you will manage our tire hotel customers (approx. 80 hours per season).

During the summer season, the focus is on our race tire service at events primarily in Sweden, but also abroad (Denmark, Norway, and occasionally further south).

There are approx. 10 race events per year, where you will typically work from Thursday to Sunday during the relevant week.

Before races, the correct equipment, quantity, and type of tires must be loaded.

After races, our vehicles and equipment need to be inspected. This may include washing tent canvas, servicing tire machines, or maintaining vehicles.

Main responsibilities include:

• Converting standard cars into race cars (more intensive during winter)
• Restoring special vehicles
• Maintaining equipment and machinery used in our race tire service (mostly during summer)
• Attending races and working with tire service and related tasks (mostly during summer)
• Maintaining the company's fleet (trucks, trailers, and cars)
• Keeping the workshop, storage areas, and the building in general tidy and organized
• Managing seasonal wheel changes (running the tire hotel)
• Stepping in to fix other tasks as needed

The role offers great freedom and requires a high level of structure and initiative.

You must be comfortable working independently, even though there are 8 colleagues working in the same building.

To be considered for the job, you need at least some of the following experience/knowledge/qualifications:

• Class C/CE driver's license
• Welding skills (MIG)
• Experience with car repairs
• Experience in motorsport
• Experience in car restoration/conversion

Salary is paid monthly. Normal working hours are 08:00–17:00 on weekdays at Västra Bockebäcksvägen 5a in Önnestad. During the season, we also work at tracks around Scandinavia, which involves approx. 10–20 weekend days per year.

The expected salary range is between 28,000 and 45,000 SEK per month, depending on your experience and qualifications.
