About Lanternan

Rånäs Lanternan is a 24-hour residential facility in Rånäs, Norrtälje. Our goal is for every individual to gain increased quality of life through support tailored to their own needs, strengths, and conditions.

Target Group

We admit adults from the age of 21 with:

• Risky use/dependence on alcohol or drugs
• Mental health issues such as psychotic illness, affective disorders, or neurodevelopmental disorders (ND)
• Anxiety issues

We work under commissions according to the Social Services Act (SoL), ÖPT, LPT (permission), LVM §27, and also have places with special support.

Our Approach

We work based on recovery-oriented support with a focus on daily rhythm, diet, daily exercise, and clear routines. Support is provided both individually and in groups.

• Motivational Interviewing (MI)
• CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
• Relapse Prevention
• LARO (Low-risk Alcohol Treatment)

Environment and Housing

The residence is located in a nature-friendly and quiet environment, close to walking trails and bathing areas. The residents have their own rooms, and some apartments allow pets.

Staff and Competence

We have 24-hour staffing, with a wakeful night shift, a nurse on-site on weekdays, and access to a CBT therapist and doctor. Employees have relevant education in social care, and through Nytida's educational activity Lära, ongoing competence development is offered.

About the Role

In the role of residential support worker, you base your work on the residents' individual needs and wishes and provide support in daily life from a pedagogical approach. Together with other employees, you work towards the goal of making the day meaningful and content-rich. You support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, social contacts, and communication. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your duties also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans.

Working hours are scheduled during the day, evenings, weekends, and on-call sleeping shifts. A driver's license is a prerequisite when working with us, as we assist our clients with travel for e.g., doctor's appointments, and our operations are located in a rural setting in Rånäs.

You have a group leader or group manager close to you who spends part of their time working in the operations. This can also be a future career opportunity for you.

Your Experience and Knowledge

You, the applicant, have upper secondary education in healthcare and social care or other equivalent education. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good computer skills, and experience with documentation. It is an advantage if you have experience working with the target group. Otherwise, your CV is not the most important thing. If you have the right qualities, we will give you support and the opportunity to grow.

You have a positive outlook, a strong commitment to people, and are responsible. You enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues, and always have the best interests of our users as your starting point in everything you do.
