The Sami School Board is a government agency with its office, including school principal, controllers, HR, and case handlers, located in Jåhkåmåhkke.

The Sami School is an educational form equivalent to the compulsory school, offering education from pre-school class to grade 6. The starting point for the teaching is Sami culture and the Sami language according to the curriculum for the Sami School. The Sami School Board also operates preschools in agreement with the respective municipalities. The Sami School Board has operations in Giron, Gárasavvon, Váhtjer, Jåhkåmåhkke, and Dearna.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in accordance with the compulsory school's steering documents and from a Sami perspective, both individually and in work teams.
• You actively participate in developing successful learning environments together with other staff at the school.
• Participate in other work at the after-school center together with the staff.

Qualifications

• You must have a teacher's license for teachers in after-school centers.
• You master Sami, both orally and in writing.
• You have a positive view of people and the ability to create good relationships, as well as the ability to prevent and resolve conflicts.
• You are meticulous, flexible, and attuned to the students' needs, and enjoy working with children and young people.
