At SJR, we are now looking for you who are an engaged and meticulous accounting economist for upcoming assignments with our clients in Uppsala! We are looking for you who can take on more junior assignments, as well as those who are senior in their competence. As an accounting economist, the role involves working independently with ongoing accounting and being an important part of the finance function. The assignments vary in length and scope depending on the client's needs, giving you the opportunity to broaden your experience and develop in your professional role. You will be employed by us at SJR as one of our appreciated economic consultants, but you can also have your own company and enter as a subcontractor.

Responsibilities

As an accounting economist, your tasks may include:

• Ongoing bookkeeping and reconciliations
• Accounts payable and receivable
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Reporting and analysis
• VAT and tax declarations
• Preparation of annual reports
• Contact with authorities, auditors, and other external parties
• Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks

Suitable Background

You have a post-secondary education in economics and previous experience working with accounting. You are accustomed to working in financial systems and Excel. You master both Swedish and English, in both speech and writing.

You need to have the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new environments and tasks, as well as enjoy working independently. As a person, you are unpretentious, flexible, and adaptable.
