We are now looking for a Project Controller to join the Project Office for investment projects at Cytiva in Uppsala. Here, you will have the opportunity to work in a central role within an organization driving strategically important investments for future production, capacity, and regulatory compliance.

Here, you will become part of a competent and cross-functional team consisting of program managers, senior project managers, project managers, project engineers, buyers, and project controllers. Together, you will create structure, quality, and momentum in complex investment projects. The position is based onsite at Cytiva’s site in Uppsala and reports to the Senior Manager, Project Management Office.

Your responsibilities:

In the role of Project Controller, you are responsible for the financial control, monitoring, and reporting of investment projects, while also being an active part of the project organization. Your tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Planning, monitoring, and analyzing project finances, including budget, forecast, variances, and cash flows.
• Preparing calculations, decision support materials, and financial reports for project management and leadership.
• Supporting project managers with financial, administrative, and control-related matters.
• Responsible for order placement and invoice matters regarding approval and supplier follow-up.
• Continuous development of methods and tools within project and investment control.

The main requirements for the position are:

• An academic degree in economics, industrial economics, engineering, or equivalent, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience working in project environments and familiarity with tracking projects based on time, cost, and delivery, as well as a good understanding of the different phases of a project, from planning and initiation to execution and closure.
• Knowledge of financial flows related to projects and a good understanding of how projects are budgeted, forecasted, and monitored over time.
• Very good skills in Excel and financial systems, preferably Oracle.
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is also an advantage if you have previous experience with:

• BI tools or reporting solutions.
• Danaher Business Systems (DBS) or similar methodologies for driving continuous improvement.

A key success factor in this role is your curiosity and willingness to understand the technical solutions and project processes of ongoing projects, in order to assess and clearly explain how these impact project economics. You work in a structured and analytical manner with a strong focus on quality, are self-driven in your work, but also thrive in close collaboration within a team. You are communicative and feel confident in dialogues with both finance professionals and technical roles.
