About Us

The staff at the medicine outpatient clinic includes nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, administrative staff, unit managers, doctors, and biomedical analysts. We are all highly committed and collaborate across professions, both within our teams, with other specialist teams at the clinic, with our inpatient wards, and with our paramedical colleagues.

We have specialist teams within hematology, neurology, diabetes, endocrinology, gastroenterology, cardiology, and COPD.

The Medical Treatment Department is also part of the medicine outpatient clinic and focuses on specialized outpatient internal medicine care. Here, medical examinations and advanced treatments are performed for many different patient categories.

We are now looking for a Diabetes Nurse for our diabetes team. Here, you will have stimulating and independent work while being an important part of an experienced team. You will work in close collaboration with doctors and other professions regarding patients with diabetes.

Your Responsibilities

As a Diabetes Nurse, you work with outpatient visits, telephone advice, and patient education. You follow up on patients with Type 1 diabetes and support them in self-care, treatment, and lifestyle changes.

The work involves, among other things:

• Your own clinic
• Advice and follow-up of treatment
• Support regarding technical aids such as glucose sensors and insulin pumps
• Patient education individually and in groups
• Close collaboration with doctors and other professions in the diabetes team.

We work every day to maintain high patient safety, good quality of care, and a good work climate.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse, preferably with further education in diabetes care or experience working with patients with diabetes.

• Work independently and systematically
• Are flexible and team-oriented
• Take initiative and contribute to operational development
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
