Do you want to become part of a health center that is developing and has a strong sense of community? We are now looking for a district doctor for the Säffle health center, which has approximately 12,000 registered patients.

Your workplace

About 32 people work here with a breadth of professions. The medical group consists of three specialists, three ST-doctors (specialty trainees), one BT-doctor, and a geriatrician, with variation in age and experience. Additionally, there is a well-staffed team including district nurses, nurses, assistant nurses, counselors, psychologists, healthcare administrators, chiropodists, and dietitians.

We have nice premises in what was previously Säffle Hospital. In the same building, there is a laboratory, X-ray, outpatient rehabilitation with physiotherapists and occupational therapists, an acute care ward, a pharmacy, a family center, outpatient psychiatry, and public dental care. Säffle is strategically located and has good train and bus connections to, for example, Karlstad, Oslo, and Gothenburg.

Säffle Health Center is a well-functioning workplace where we develop our working methods together to meet patients in need of care. Your responsibilities

With us, as a general specialist, you will have an stimulating and developing job with a focus on continuity and your own patient list. The assignment may include ward rounds in home care and SÄBO (specialized housing for the elderly), supervision of students and trainee doctors, and work at Child Health Centers (BVC) and Maternity Health Centers (MVC).

You work in close collaboration with well-educated and competent staff within several different professional categories.

On-call and duty activities also occur according to a rotating schedule.

Your knowledge and competencies

We are looking for you who are a licensed doctor with specialist competence in general medicine.

As a person, we believe you are comfortable taking initiative as well as planning, organizing, and prioritizing your tasks. You are stable even in pressured situations and have clear communication both in meetings with patients and in collaboration with colleagues. We see the ability to collaborate as a great strength, and we believe you thrive in an environment where collaboration and dialogue are a natural part of everyday life.

Since the position may involve travel, you need to have a B driver's license.

Previous experience of working at a health center, and supervising ST- and AT-doctors, is meritorious.
