We receive applications on an ongoing basis and match them with requests from our customers and clients. You will be employed by Entrecon Consulting and work on assignments at the client's site.

The Assignment

The assignments can be both new production and ROT projects, residential or commercial properties, primarily in Stockholm/Mälardalen.

In the role of Design Manager, you will be a central link between the client, designers, and production management, leading and coordinating the design work. The design group is normally a mix consisting of the client's internal and external specialists, production personnel, as well as consultants and client representatives. Together, you will produce all project documentation, from early sketches to system documents and finally construction documents. The goal of the design phase is to shape a product based on the client's vision that ensures production can be carried out safely and efficiently, that set project requirements, legislation, and project goals are met, and that project economics are secured.

As a Design Manager, you are a key person for creating a good collaboration climate and building strong relationships within the group. Your ability to engage people and get everyone pulling in the same direction is crucial for the best outcome of the project.

Competence

You have a background as a project/design manager with at least 5 years of experience in the role. A background from production, primarily construction and real estate but also civil engineering, or alternatively as a designer, is advantageous, where you have developed an understanding of the different parts of the construction process (technology, economics, and contract law). You should also have an interest in digital working methods, good computer skills, and good knowledge of contract and consultancy law.

If you have experience from a consultancy role and enjoy taking commercial and technical responsibility in assignments, it is a big plus. You also have good communication skills in both speech and writing in Swedish and English.

As a Design Manager, you are a team player who understands the importance of different perspectives. You meet both internal and external stakeholders and create security through clear communication and active listening. You build trust, move conversations forward with respect, and find common solutions even when opinions differ.
