On behalf of our client, we are currently looking for a Senior Lead Project Manager for a strategic urban development project. The assignment is full-time and is expected to start on 2026-09-02 and run until 2030-09-02.

About the assignment

We are now seeking an experienced and business-minded Lead Project Manager to lead one of the region's larger and more complex property development projects.

The assignment involves the development, renovation, and extension of a major public operational facility, including operational development, detailed planning processes, evacuation, and construction execution. The project is strategically important, has a significant investment value, and is conducted in an environment with many stakeholders and high demands for coordination, communication, and anchoring.

As the Lead Project Manager, you will have overall responsibility for leading the project through the planning, design, and execution phases. The role involves establishing and developing the project organization and ensuring that the project's goals regarding time, cost, quality, function, sustainability, and working environment are met.

Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

• Lead and coordinate the project's various sub-projects
• Establish and develop the project organization
• Coordinate operations, consultants, and external stakeholders
• Responsible for project planning, schedules, and budget monitoring
• Manage risks, opportunities, and decision-making materials
• Ensure efficient stakeholder and communication management
• Lead the project through design, procurement, and construction execution

Start: 2026-09-02
End: 2030-09-02
Scope: Varies between 50-100%
Work form: Hybrid, with approx. 50% on-site presence
Location: Stockholm
Employment type: The assignment assumes that the consultant operates their business through their own company and has the possibility to invoice for their services.

About you

We are looking for you who meet the following mandatory requirements:

• At least 15 years of experience in project management within property development
• Experience as a Lead Project Manager in at least three major construction or property development projects with an investment value over 200 MSEK
• Experience from complex public facilities or public operational premises
• Documented experience in leading larger project organizations with several sub-project managers and external consultants
• Experience in operational development and change management in connection with facility development projects
• Experience in detailed planning processes and client responsibility
• Management experience and leadership training
• Relevant higher education or university degree in fields such as construction, urban planning, engineering, architecture, or real estate

It is meritorious if you also meet the following requirements:

• Projects in politically governed organizations
• Evacuation projects
• Timber construction projects
• Procurement according to LOU (Swedish Public Procurement Act)
• Renovation of older buildings with cultural-historical values
• Projects in dense urban environments
• Operational development and strategic change management
