The ambulance service is a county-wide operation that is constantly evolving to offer patients the best possible care. Here, both newly graduated and experienced nurses work together. We are now looking for a nurse/ambulance nurse for the Ambulance Service in Sollefteå. This is a permanent, full-time position with a start date to be agreed upon.
ResponsibilitiesThe ambulance service offers a secure onboarding program where you work under supervision and develop through internal training and growing experience in the prehospital profession. We encourage further education and try to adapt study times to your needs. A good work environment and opportunities for reflection and learning are important parts of what we actively work on to ensure you thrive with us. The job requires good physical endurance. A physical test with personal feedback and follow-up is conducted upon hiring. As a new employee, you always work together with an experienced nurse.
The responsibilities include, among other things:
- Care for patients suffering from acute illness or injury
- Transport of patients in need of ambulance care.
- You meet patients in varied environments and spend a lot of time outdoors.
- The profession involves a significant amount of driving, requiring good judgment in traffic.
- Is a licensed nurse
- Has very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Has held a category B driver's license for at least two years
- Education in prehospital care
- Good medical knowledge
- Category C driver's license. If you lack a C license or are not covered by an exemption (B license obtained before 1996-07-01, without revocation after this date), the ambulance service will cover the cost of a training package for a C license.
