About Us Aleris Rehab Station is a national and international rehabilitation center. We help patients with acquired and congenital spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries, and neurological injuries and diseases. We also offer personal assistance. We are located in a large, beautiful building in Frösundavik, Solna, a combination of old barracks premises, new living rooms, treatment rooms, and a restaurant. We have extensive research and educational activities and well-developed teamwork. We also have a clinic focusing on MS in Liljeholmen. Aleris Rehab Station is part of Aleris Primary Care, which also includes ASIH, two specialized palliative care wards, Basic Home Care, and Uppsala Urgent Care.

The Role We are looking for a personal assistant for a woman in her 60s with an acquired brain injury, aphasia, and who uses a wheelchair. As a personal assistant, you will support and help her realize her interests, such as interior design, gardening, nature walks, and accompanying her to the summer house on Gotland between July 13th and August 7th.

The duties also include personal care, dressing and undressing, and transfers (a lift is available in the home). You will also accompany her on various outings. You need to be able to handle a computer.

You must also master the Swedish language, as communication takes place via a letter board. Working hours will be during the day and evening, as well as weekends. No night work is involved. You will undergo 3-4 introductory shifts with the client.

About You We are looking for someone who is structured, orderly, loyal, and responsive. You also value providing good care and high-quality service. Through your engagement, professional attitude, and communicative skills, you build good relationships with the client and your colleagues, making you a significant employee for us. It is important that you act with common sense and have a strong customer focus. You need to have a well-developed sense of touch and understand when to be active and when to be passive in your work. You need to be able to communicate clearly and be unpretentious in prioritizing the client's needs/space, as well as being able to handle a family with daily chores. Experience in the assistance profession is meritorious.

Background You are a person with a great interest in working with people. This role requires previous experience working as a personal assistant and/or within healthcare and social care. The requirement for this position is that you have very good command of the Swedish language in speech and writing. We would like you to be initiative-taking and have a motivating approach towards the client. We would appreciate it if you had "green fingers" and enjoy gardening and other outdoor tasks. You are also welcome to have an interest in art/culture. It is meritorious if you can also work in the summer on Gotland between the dates July 13th - August 7th.
