About the position

We are currently seeking a personal assistant for a wheelchair-using young woman living in Hörby. This is a hourly-based position for work on an as-needed basis and to cover for regular staff absences. Your duties will include personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, transfers and lifting, medication management according to delegation, and care related to tracheostomy and tube feeding. For this client, the assistance is double-staffed, except during night hours when one assistant is on standby. Awake nights may occur in case of illness.

The working hours are scheduled as follows:

• 07:00 - 16:00,
• 16:00 - 22:00.

About the client

The client is a 17-year-old girl who lives at home with her family. She attends school on weekdays and enjoys being active in various ways. She likes swinging, spending time in nature, painting, listening to music, crafting, baking, and spending time with her family.

About you

As a personal assistant with us, you play a crucial role in creating a safe and meaningful daily life for our client. You will be an important part of their life and contribute to their independence and well-being.

Requirements:

• Valid B-driver's license for automatic transmission,
• Access to your own car,
• No allergy to fur-bearing animals.

Upon employment To be employed by us at Nordström Assistans, you need to have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the role. Due to the fact that the position may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that, according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3), cannot be performed by minors, you must be 18 years old to work as a personal assistant with us.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present a certificate of no criminal record (Utdrag ur belastningsregistret). From March 1, 2026, new regulations will apply, meaning the register check will include both the certificate of no criminal record and the certificate of suspicion (misstankeregistret). The certificate is ordered via the Swedish Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so it is advisable to order well in advance.
