Your workplace

Vårdcentralen Torsby has approximately 10,600 registered patients and a staff of around 35 people with broad competencies. The medical group consists of four specialists and five resident doctors (ST-läkare), with variations in age and experience. District nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, psychologists, CBT therapists, healthcare administrators, and chiropodists also work here.

We are co-located with Torsby Hospital. In the same building, you will find the emergency department, laboratory, radiology, outpatient rehabilitation, family center, and outpatient psychiatry.

Torsby is strategically located with good train, bus, and flight connections to Karlstad and Stockholm.

Your responsibilities

As a Specialist in General Practice, you will have an stimulating and developmental job with a focus on continuity and your own patient list. The role may include ward rounds in home care and SÄBO (specialized housing for the elderly), supervision of students and trainee doctors, and work at Child Health Services (BVC) and Maternal Health Services (BMM). You will work in close collaboration with competent colleagues from several different professional categories. On-call duties and emergency services are included according to a rotating schedule.

Your skills and qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with specialist competence in general practice.

In addition, you have:

• The ability to take initiative and plan, organize, and prioritize your work independently.
• Confidence in pressured situations and clear communication in meetings with both patients and colleagues.
• An easy-going nature for collaboration and thriving in an environment where dialogue and cooperation are a natural part of everyday life.
• A quality-conscious approach and good judgment in medical assessments.
• A B driver's license as travel may occur during the job.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you have experience from primary care work and supervision of trainee doctors.
