Qualified Family Home Consultant based in Stockholm

We are now looking for a results-oriented colleague who wants to help develop our family services in Stockholm and the surrounding area.

This is a unique opportunity for you who have experience in social work and a strong interest in business development. In this role, you will focus on recruiting and assessing new foster homes, as well as receiving placements from commissioners. An important part of the job also involves establishing contact and mapping the demand from case workers within both social services and the prison and probation service.

During ongoing placements, you work closely with the foster homes, make visits, and maintain regular contact. In the foster homes, the resident receives support based on their specific needs, which may be based on criminality, addiction, substance abuse, neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF), honor-based violence, or for example care or protection needs.

As a family home consultant, you will work with Skyddsvärnet's foster homes around Stockholm, which means that travel will be a natural part of the job. The work requires a high degree of personal responsibility and initiative. During the periods when you are not traveling, there is an opportunity to work from any location.

Who we think you are

As a person, you are straightforward and clear, with good communication skills. You have a great interest in people and are good at building good relationships and alliances. You are driven to achieve results and find it exciting and fun to develop a business. Since the position involves a lot of independent work, you are used to taking your own initiatives and enjoy working under your own responsibility. It is also required that you appreciate being on the road, as this will be a large part of the job.

Your background

We would prefer that you are a social worker or behavioral scientist and have previous experience in social work. For us, openness and diversity are important, as well as the fact that our operations are enriched with different types of knowledge and perspectives. Since documentation is a large part of the job, it is important that you can express yourself well in speech and writing. Language skills in addition to Swedish and English are meritorious. You need access to your own car for the position and are offered mileage compensation.

Skyddsvärnet – anno 1910 offers emergency and family home care throughout Sweden, for all ages and accepts all types of assignments. Together with our trained foster homes, Skyddsvärnet can help individuals across the country to have a secure life and the opportunity to reintegrate into society.

We have offered family home care since 1981, and work with all ages, regardless of background or issues. The family home service receives assignments from social services and the prison and probation service throughout the country, and we also offer foster homes for people with protected identities. The operations also include a disengagement program as well as open care with relapse prevention. Skyddsvärnet currently has around 150 assessed and approved foster homes spread across Sweden, with a special concentration around the Mälaren Valley.

About the position

The position starts with a probationary employment that then transitions to a permanent position. Full-time (100%).
