Do you have a technical education and want to develop in a role where you get real insight into how a global industrial company operates? Academic Work is now looking for a Junior Sales & Technical Support consultant for an international client in Lidköping – the perfect start for you who want to combine technology, support, and business!

About the role

As a consultant for our client in Lidköping, you will become an important addition to the Sales & Technical Support function. You will work in the office alongside a close-knit team of three in sales support and four in technical support. Your role is to act as a vital bridge and support the local sales colleagues with everything from technical documentation and quotations to order registration for markets such as the USA and Asia.

We are looking for someone at the beginning of their career with a natural technical understanding. You do not need to be an expert on the products from day one, but you must have the drive to research information and the courage to take internal initiatives to move your cases forward. The role requires you to quickly interpret technical documentation and apply the information in practice.

Responsibilities

You will work closely with production, purchasing, and logistics, giving you a unique holistic view of how products are manufactured and reach the end customer. The tasks are varied and include, among other things:

  • Technical Sales Support: You support the sales team in the office by preparing technical documentation and quotations in the business system Monitor.
  • Handling Drawings: You make simple adjustments to existing SolidWorks files (e.g., changing dimensions or adding text) to adapt drawings to the customer's specific orders.
  • Order Management: You register everything from standard orders to more complex projects with technical changes.
  • Logistics & Coordination: You assist with questions regarding how products should be packed and book transport for international deliveries.

Who we are looking for

  • Have a technical education from high school, university college, or university.
  • Have knowledge of CAD (preferably SolidWorks) and the ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Have a strong interest in mechanics.
  • Have a basic understanding of electricity/electronics.
  • Have good skills in both Swedish and English, as the role involves daily handling of international orders and documentation.

To succeed in the role, you have the following personal qualities:

  • Goal-oriented
  • Social
  • Organized
  • Responsible

Our recruitment process

This recruitment process is handled by Academic Work, and our client's request is that all questions regarding the position are sent to Academic Work.

We apply rolling selection and will remove the ad when a sufficient number of candidates have reached the final stage of the recruitment process. A CV is required when applying. We do not use cover letters as a selection method, so they do not need to be attached. The recruitment process includes two selection tests: a personality test and a cognitive ability test. The tests are a tool to identify the candidate with the highest potential for the role, as well as to promote equality, diversity, and a fair recruitment process.
