As part of our operations control team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that traffic flows smoothly, even when unexpected situations arise. This is a perfect opportunity for you if you have a background in the railway industry and wish to develop further.

About the role As an operations controller, you are the operational supervisor for the onboard staff, responsible for ensuring that the Östgötapendeln runs on time and with the correct staffing. You are responsible for ensuring that your shifts follow our directives, routines, and work instructions. You also have overall responsibility for ensuring that our processes within the operations control center function efficiently and smoothly.

Your responsibilities In this role, you will work with tasks such as:

• Implementing measures related to traffic decisions and prioritizing vehicle deployment.
• Acting as the operational supervisor for onboard staff.
• Handling disruptions that may occur in traffic, directing vehicles and personnel to minimize customer impact.
• Directing vehicles to and from scheduled and emergency maintenance.
• Proactively monitoring traffic conditions and ensuring information sharing with relevant parties.
• Factual logging of decisions within your area of responsibility.
• Receiving reports from staff in case of illness, trauma, or incidents, and ensuring they receive support according to our routines.
• Administrative work related to operations control.

Qualifications We are looking for you who:

• Are a train driver or have recently been one, or have at least one year of experience working in railway traffic operations control.
• Have good knowledge of the railway, its geography, and key actors.
• Have a basic understanding of vehicle technology, as well as good knowledge in analysis, train production, and traffic matters.
• Are stress-resistant and able to handle challenging traffic situations.
• Have strong analytical and logical skills and can make quick and independent decisions.
• Have good ability to manage personnel and collaborate with others.
• Meritorious: Experience driving or working on vehicle type X61.
