About the company and role

You will become part of an international R&D operation focused on developing products and components for power systems. The role involves working closely with design, product development, and verification within cross-functional project teams.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will actively participate in development and R&D projects, reporting to both project managers and the R&D Manager. You will work with electrical design, technical calculations, and the creation of specifications and documentation. The role entails close collaboration with global R&D teams as well as contact with suppliers and internal functions to ensure high quality and efficient knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for, among other things:

• Participate as an Electrical Engineer in development and R&D projects
• Perform electrical design, design calculations, and create technical specifications
• Conduct short-circuit current analyses and dielectric calculations
• Work with risk assessments and technical investigations
• Handle material and insulation issues
• Contribute to Design to Value and cost optimization in design
• Participate in product verification, from prototype testing to final type verification
• Evaluate prototypes and supplier articles, and handle technical queries from suppliers
• Contribute with creative and cost-effective solutions, even in the interface between electrical and mechanical engineering

Technically, you will work with, among other things:

• High voltage components (primarily), as well as medium and low voltage systems
• Transformers, bushings, insulation systems, motors, and sensors
• Electrical signals, communication protocols, and PLC systems

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as an electrical designer or power engineer
• Extensive experience in high voltage applications
• Experience in design and product development in an industrial R&D environment
• Experience from the manufacturing industry is advantageous
• Understanding of power grid companies and production operations is a plus
• Experience with materials and production in sheet metal, composites, or plastics
• Documented experience in electrical design work
