We are now expanding our sales team with a Technical Salesperson who wants to work with our customers within the process industry.

About the role

In the role of Technical Salesperson, you work closely with our customers to present our products within Compression Systems and Services (CSS) in the best possible way. The portfolio you work with includes Ingersoll Rand OEM compressors, air treatment, and services. You work with an established and broad customer base within the process industry, but will also focus on identifying and contacting new customers.

As a Technical Salesperson, you deliver high customer service by identifying customer needs and presenting technical solutions. You are responsible for the entire sales process and will have broad contact areas both at the customer site and internally, where you receive support via product specialists and service technicians. You operate from one of our offices in Kungsbacka, Stockholm, or your home office, and process customers throughout Sweden.

  • Independently responsible for processing and maintaining existing customers, booking customer visits, and driving business opportunities from start to finished deal.
  • Identify and manage new potential customers.
  • Conduct product presentations based on customer needs and recommended technical solutions.
  • Prepare quotations and follow up on the execution and delivery of sales orders.
  • Participate in trade fairs and other marketing activities (seminars, information meetings, technology days, etc.).

Your profile

To thrive and succeed in the role of Technical Salesperson, you are business- and results-oriented with a genuine interest in helping customers and building long-term relationships. You are comfortable working independently and driving technical dialogues with different functions at the customer site. You are communicative and trustworthy, with the ability to listen to needs and guide customers to well-adapted technical solutions. At the same time, you value high quality, accessibility, and structure in your work approach and actively contribute to good internal collaboration.

  • Experience in technical sales within the process industry is highly meritorious.
  • Relevant technical education or equivalent practical experience.
  • Technical knowledge within the product area, which can be specifically compressors, compressed air, vacuum, or for example pumps and rotating machinery.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • A valid driver's license (Class B) is required.

If you have the right technical foundation or experience from the process or manufacturing industry in a customer-facing role, such as operations, maintenance, service, or technical inside sales, that is also relevant. Most importantly for us is that you have the right attitude towards sales and customer relationships, as well as a desire to develop in a business-oriented role.
