Job Responsibilities

As an employee, your primary task is to provide support, motivation, and care to our residents. We work with a health-promoting approach aimed at strengthening individuals' own abilities, ensuring that everyone living in the area has the opportunity to live life to the fullest, throughout their lives.

Involvement, development, and community are key words for us, where continuous improvements create the conditions for high-quality care. Duties include personal care, health and medical care, and administration. We work in teams, meaning that various professional groups share the common goal of creating a good quality of life and a supportive environment for our residents.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant (undersköterska) or have other education or experience that the employer deems sufficient. We prefer candidates with further education in elderly care and/or dementia, or a psychiatric focus. Experience with night work is an advantage.

It is important that you enjoy working with people and thrive in that environment, and that you are flexible and open to new ideas and working methods. As a person, we believe you are responsible, have good communication skills, and can work both independently and collaboratively. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Sufficient knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required to communicate with residents, perform care documentation, and receive medication delegation.

A valid driver's license (Category B) is required.

Please attach your CV and a cover letter to your application.

About the Organization

The Welfare Administration employs approximately 2,500 staff. The administration is governed by the Welfare Committee, guided by our mission: "Together we facilitate people's opportunities to live a meaningful life." We work towards achieving the municipality's vision: We build best together.

Other Information

During the interview process, we will conduct an identity check and verify citizenship. Accepted documents include a passport, international ID card, driver's license + personal registration certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency, or other ID documents proving citizenship. For some positions, extracts from the police's suspicion and criminal records are required.

We welcome candidates with Finnish and/or Sami language skills, as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both the Finnish and Sami administrative areas.

Some positions in our municipality are classified for security reasons, so a security clearance check may be conducted. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
