About the role

At Ticket, we are looking for a Senior Java Developer who wants to play a key role in driving our e-commerce platform forward. This is a role for you if you are not satisfied with just delivering code, but rather want to influence how we build, prioritize, and develop both technology and teams.

Here, you will become part of a strong and cohesive product team with high ambition levels, short decision-making paths, and great opportunities to make a real difference. We are looking for someone who is confident in their technical competence, enjoys taking ownership, and naturally steps up when something needs to be clarified, improved, or driven to completion.

To us, seniority is about technical depth, good judgment, and the ability to elevate others. You are used to taking initiative, challenging established ways of working, and driving solutions from idea to implementation. You can design modern, scalable, resilient systems, make well-founded technical decisions, and serve as a strong sounding board for both developers and product owners.

You will work in a product team where you will have significant influence over both technology and working methods. Together, you will develop new features, improve existing solutions, and build upon a business-critical platform with high demands on quality, scalability, and user experience.

We believe in an agile and pragmatic approach where responsibility lies within the team. Therefore, we are not looking for someone who just facilitates ceremonies or monitors processes alongside development. We are looking for a strong developer who also contributes to structure, progress, and focus in the team – someone who makes the agile way of work function in practice through their way of working, prioritizing, and collaborating.

At Ticket, we primarily work with Java, Spring Boot, Vue.js, AI, microservices, AWS, and Kubernetes. We build, further develop, and operate our own platform, which means you will be close to both the technology, the product, and the business. There is plenty of room for you who want to make a real impact and help raise the level, both in the solutions we build and in how we work together.

About you

We are looking for someone with a degree in Computer Science, Systems Science, Civil Engineering, or equivalent, or alternatively, extensive experience in qualified development work in professional environments. You have at least eight years of experience in Java development and are accustomed to building robust, scalable, and long-term sustainable systems.

You are a skilled developer with strong self-motivation. You see what needs to be done, take initiative, and drive the work forward without waiting for detailed direction. You enjoy taking responsibility, creating direction, and bringing others along in the work towards better solutions.

We believe you thrive in roles where you can combine hands-on development with technical responsibility and natural leadership within the team. You contribute with structure, clarity, and energy, and you have the ability to create progress without getting stuck in process for process's sake. You help the team focus on the right things, collaborate better, and maintain a high level of delivery.

As a person, you are curious, unpretentious, and communicative. You see that AI has a clear place in the development work and are accustomed to working with Claude Code and similar tools. You enjoy discussing solutions, challenging ideas, and sharing your experience. You are driven by building good things together with other capable people and are motivated by environments with high ambitions, great trust, and opportunities to influence. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

At Ticket

Naturally, you get six weeks of vacation, flexibility so daily life works, some work from home, full occupational pension according to ITP, and nice travel benefits. Ticket is located in state-of-the-art premises in Sickla, just minutes from Slussen. Parking is available outside the office for Ticket employees.

At Ticket, we are proud to be a company with people from different backgrounds. We know that diversity not only makes us stronger but also more innovative, and that different perspectives make us more creative. We strive to be an attractive workplace that is free from discrimination and provides equal opportunities for all. As part of the recruitment process, you will take a personality test and a logical test – so that we can make a fair and accurate assessment. It takes about 30 minutes in total. An objective selection process ensures that all candidates are assessed in the same way, based on traits relevant to the current position. Salary range can be communicated during the interview process, and background checks are conducted before employment.
