About the Role

You will be responsible for developing and driving how we test our products and embedded software, with the goal of increasing the level of automation and creating fast, reliable feedback for the development team. The role covers the entire testing chain – from defining and structuring requirements and test cases to setting up test environments, executing tests, analyzing results, and handling bug reporting.

You will work closely with developers and other technical functions, taking ownership of how testing is conducted moving forward. This means contributing to and further developing the requirements regarding functionality, quality, and testability in our systems. The role involves clear ownership of the testing area and an opportunity to establish a more structured and automated approach to verification and validation.

This is a role for you who wants to take responsibility for the testing operations in a company where much can still be influenced. You are not stepping into a finished testing machine – you will help build and develop it together with the rest of the development team.

What You Will Do

The work involves analyzing requirements and translating them into relevant test cases, prioritizing what should be automated, and gradually building up test runs that can be reused over time. You will develop and maintain test automation scripts and help establish the test environment required to test our systems in a structured way. This includes, among other things, setting up test loops and test jigs where hardware and software can be verified together. When tests are run, you analyze the results, identify deviations, and provide feedback to development – whether it concerns actual bugs or improvements needed in test setup or environment.

Who We Think You Are

We value practical experience higher than specific education. You have worked with testing and verification in technical systems where electronics and software interact, and you are accustomed to driving testing work in close collaboration with developers. You have sufficient programming skills to work with test automation and scripts (e.g., Python, Java, or other relevant languages) and enjoy troubleshooting, isolating problems, and creating structure in how testing is performed. We believe you have 5–10 years of relevant experience in the field.

You do not need to be an embedded programmer, but you need to be comfortable in the embedded world: understanding how embedded systems behave, how to test them reasonably, and why automation is crucial. Practical electronics understanding is required to read schematics and handle basic lab tools.

As a person, you are analytical, self-driven, and motivated by finding bugs early. You are pragmatic and solution-oriented, and you like improving processes – not just by pointing out what is missing, but by building it.
