We are currently looking for you who want to become part of our lovely team and work as a personal assistant for our child client in Gävle.

I am an 11-year-old boy living with my family. I do not communicate verbally but use sign language, facial expressions, body language, and partially picture support. I am a happy, playful, curious, and compliant boy. In my daily life, I need both moments of solitude and time to rest. I love dancing, music, gymnastics, and riding my side-by-side bicycle. I show clearly what I want and do not want to do.

To fit well with me, you need to have knowledge of TAKK (Total Communication Approach), autism spectrum, and tube feeding - most importantly, we need to get along well.

What does the job as a personal assistant involve?

As a personal assistant, you work with a person with functional variations. There, you help with everyday tasks that many take for granted, such as dressing, household chores, personal hygiene, and participating in leisure activities. You make a big difference and help someone else's daily life function.

We have clients of different ages and with different functional variations. Your workplace is where the client is, and the job is both varied and eventful. We believe that contributing every day to enable a person to live their life as they wish is the most important job in the world.

We are looking for you who are engaged, respectful, and responsive. We appreciate that you have great patience and the ability to be personal while acting professionally. Regardless of your age, life situation, and background, you could be the assistant we are looking for.

We would like you to:

• have a genuine interest in helping others.
• be able to understand and communicate in Swedish.
• be able to work flexible hours - days, evenings, and weekends.
• have experience in care and support. (This is a plus, but not a requirement).

Other information

Employment type: Fixed-term for the duration of the assistance assignment

Scope: Approximately 70% (2 positions)

Start date: As soon as possible

We offer individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

In the event of employment, you must be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden, by showing citizenship within the EU/EEA or a valid work permit.
