About Us

The Department of Surgery and Urology is a large department with an inpatient ward, surgical, urological, breast, and endoscopy clinics, as well as its own day-care unit. We strive to offer the population in the county surgical care and treatment with high competence and quality.

At the endoscopy unit, we are a wonderful team where doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, and secretaries work together. Here you will experience a educational and exciting daily routine with good camaraderie and much joy in work, where the patient is always in focus. The work includes both surgical care and treatment as well as the IBD clinic. Both planned and emergency operations are conducted here.

Your Responsibilities

• Telephone advice, where a large part involves advising IBD patients during flare-ups.
• Assist the endoscopist during colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and gastroscopy.
• Assist the doctor in the operating room/ICU during ERCP, PEG, acute bleeding, stent insertion, etc.
• Assist the endoscopist in the operating room during colonoscopy and gastroscopy for children and adults.
• Administer infusions to patients with IBD.
• Coordinate the day's emergency examinations reported from the wards.
• Manage your own clinic for capsule endoscopy.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse with a few years of work experience. Experience in surgical/endoscopic and medical/IBD care is an advantage. You are sensitive and used to taking responsibility. You are service-oriented, flexible, creative, and structured. You have an easy time collaborating with others as a large part of the work involves teamwork. With your willingness and engagement, you want to be part of and help develop the operations. We place great emphasis on personal qualities as well as interest in the tasks.

Employment Type

Fixed-term employment until 2027-08-31 with start date by agreement. The position is during daytime hours, 40 hours/week, Monday–Thursday 7:30–17:00 and Fridays 7:30–12:30.
