Women's Clinic Mälarsjukhuset, Eskilstuna

Welcome to the midwife clinic and specialist maternity care at Mälarsjukhuset. We are a team of approximately 30 people, distributed between Mälarsjukhuset and five family centers in Eskilstuna and Strängnäs. The midwife clinic and specialist maternity care are organized under the Women's Clinic and collaborate closely with our delivery and neonatal unit. Our shared vision is high competence, good accessibility, efficiency, and friendliness!

The Women's Clinic at Mälarsjukhuset/Kullbergska Hospital, together with Nyköping Hospital, is responsible for women's healthcare in Region Sörmland. Over 200 people work at the Women's Clinic at Mälarsjukhuset. We focus on developing teamwork across various professional groups. The clinic offers well-developed inpatient and outpatient obstetric and gynecological care with an administrative unit. Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna is the largest of our four hospitals in Sörmland.

We are currently looking for a colleague to join and complement our team.

Your Responsibilities

At the midwife clinic, you will work independently in a varied and stimulating environment, collaborating closely with colleagues such as midwives, nursing assistants, doctors, physiotherapists, psychologists, and secretaries. Duties include telephone counseling, cervical screening (Pap smear), leading parent groups, routine antenatal visits, and contraceptive counseling.

We use activity boards to continuously improve and work towards our goals: Safe patients, a smooth journey through care, and efficient use of resources. Our work group has a warm and supportive climate where help is always at hand. We compile weekly newsletters so everyone receives the same information simultaneously. We hold structured clinic meetings every week and Workplace Development (APT) meetings once a month to increase participation. We share our knowledge and experiences and are very curious about each other.

Your Qualifications

• You are a registered midwife with prescribing rights.
• You are engaged, flexible, and have a talent for building relationships.
• It is important that you enjoy working in a team, as collaboration is essential for your well-being.
• Experience from maternal health care and/or delivery/neonatal units is preferred.
• You have a supportive and empathetic approach, with a specific interest in the diverse needs of people during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care.
