We are now looking for a personal assistant for a very active child client. Urgent Need

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who still has a child at heart and likes to be on the go and come up with things to do. Great importance is placed on personal suitability, chemistry, and teamwork. You are a lovely and child-loving person who is also comfortable working independently. You need to have patience to be able to wait for the user's signals. Since the user does not have verbal speech, it is also important that you are sensitive and attentive to his needs and general well-being by interpreting his body language and sounds.

Your workplace is where the client is located, with the starting point being his home in Linköping. You will also accompany him on leisure activities and excursions. The work may involve traveling with the client and his family.

I am a 13-year-old boy living with my mom, dad, and younger sibling. During the day I go to school, but in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends I need assistance. As an assistant, I want you to enjoy moving around, being outdoors, and playing and messing around. I like it when things are happening, so it is good if you are creative and come up with activities and new ideas. I also want you to be positive and able to help me learn things. With me, it is usually full speed, and I love jumping on a trampoline, swimming, listening to music, swinging, playing with my sibling, and walking shorter distances in the forest and the surrounding area.

I have a cognitive disability as well as autism and ADHD. This means for me that I do not speak in words and need help performing all activities in daily life as well as interaction and communication. I can walk but sometimes need support to get around, and when I need to travel longer distances, I use a wheelchair. Sometimes I can be extra playful and active, and then I run, so you must be quite fast to keep up and make sure I do not put myself in danger. I also need a lot of active help with eating, going to the toilet/changing diapers, hygiene, dressing, and playing.

Working hours and degree of employment:

Schedule 60–100%, for as long as the assignment lasts (if you want to combine it with another job, you can). The weekly schedule is afternoon/evening and weekends (daytime). During school holidays, working hours can be scheduled during the day on weekdays instead.

Salary: Fixed hourly wage according to agreement. Other compensations according to collective agreement.
