SYSTEMS ENGINEER AT W5 SOLUTIONS IN ÄLMHULT

As a Systems Engineer, you will be part of our development team, consisting of mechanical, electrical, and electronic designers, as well as software developers, ILS, test, and verification engineers. You will have a central and important role in the organization, working closely with production alongside your colleagues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Systems Engineer at W5 Solutions, you will have a key role in our projects, responsible for coordinating technical solutions and ensuring that all parts function as a whole. You will work cross-functionally with colleagues in development, production, procurement, and quality – from feasibility studies to delivery.

Your main responsibilities as a Systems Engineer will include:

• Develop system architecture and technical solutions in collaboration with various technical disciplines.
• Manage requirements from customer to finished solution with full traceability.
• Coordinate technical activities and contribute to project planning.
• Participate in technical reviews, verification, and validation.
• Contribute to system integration and testing.
• Maintain technical dialogue with customers and suppliers.

Additionally, you will work with risk analysis related to electrical and mechanical safety. The role also involves business development within the area, as we believe there is always room for improvement.

You will work together with colleagues to intake and break down customer specifications, developing future technical solutions for both the Swedish and international defense sectors. PERSONAL QUALITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

You who take on this challenge have a university or college degree as an engineer, either in electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering, with several years of practical experience. You have a genuine interest in technology and technical solutions, as well as good experience working in requirement-driven positions. Previous experience within or towards the defense industry is considered an asset.

With great curiosity and creativity, you drive your work forward. You thrive in a project-based environment and are a good team player who wants to contribute to a positive collaboration. With an eye for order and structure, we believe you have the right prerequisites to thrive in a project-oriented organization with a family-like and genuine culture.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of EN 81346 – Structuring principles and reference designations, which is a fundamental philosophy in our systems engineering work.

Fluency in both written and spoken Swedish and English is considered a given, as is having a valid driver's license (Category B) since business travel occurs.
