Now we are looking for a Sales Manager for our store X:-tra Elineberg. As a Sales Manager, you are a key person in the operations, working towards clearly defined goals by following up and interpreting key figures and working with continuous improvements within your area of responsibility. Your role also includes staff management during the store's various opening hours. You have a deep interest in food and are a distinct service-oriented person who knows the value of offering professional customer service and first-class service to customers and members.

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading the sales work within your area of responsibility
• Creating a selling and inspiring environment in the store
• Ensuring daily operations – staffing, supply of goods, price maintenance, etc.
• Following up on the development of sales, budget, and margins
• Initiating, leading, and driving various initiatives to improve profitability and results
• Actively working to reduce waste and cancellations
• Continuously, within your area of responsibility, managing work distribution, competence development, introduction of new employees, adherence to routines and regulations, etc.
• Actively contributing to the implementation of Coop's sustainability policy

The position is a part-time temporary role, 35 hours per week. Start date May 15, 2026, or by agreement. The temporary assignment extends until August 15, 2026. We are open when our customers want to shop, so working hours may vary – day, evening, and weekends.

• The position requires experience and competence in grocery and/or retail sales or another service profession, e.g., hotel, conference, restaurant
• Experience of a specific area of responsibility is an asset
• Documented good sales results in retail is an asset
• Experience of leading staff is an asset

Education

• High school education is a requirement
• Post-secondary education or university studies are an asset

We are looking for someone with a strong focus on sales and a strong drive to create profitability. You are creative and not afraid to test new paths in your work. Furthermore, you enjoy working in constant development, seeing and acting based on the entire store. Other distinguishing characteristics should be social, responsive, persistent, good communication skills, and the ability to make decisions.
