Description
Work as a temporary substitute with us this summer and get the chance to receive a summer bonus.
Timrå Municipality is looking for you who want to work as a temporary substitute in home care or at nursing homes this summer. We are primarily looking for those who want a scheduled roster with planned shifts, but also for those who wish to work as an "on-call" substitute. It is considered an advantage if you can start your induction training already during the spring.
The elderly care sector consists of six home care teams, a night patrol, and four nursing homes.
Across all our operations, your tasks include, among others:
Nursing care may include tasks such as:
- Hygiene and support during toilet visits
- Dressing
- Cleaning and laundry
- Meal preparation and feeding
Delegated tasks you may be asked to perform:
- Medication administration
- Insulin administration
- Tube feeding
- Wound care
- Catheter care
All new summer substitutes are offered mandatory introductory training, and depending on your experience, also medication training.
Home Care
In Timrå Municipality's home care teams, work is performed during the day, evening, and weekends. There is also a night patrol that makes visits at night to users with home care.
In your work, you help people in their own homes. The user's needs and approved services determine your specific tasks.
To work in home care, delegation for medication administration is a requirement. In several of our home care teams, a driver's license is also required.
Nursing and Care Homes (Nursing Homes)
Our nursing homes are staffed 24/7, which means that as staff, you may work day, evening, weekend, or night shifts.
Working at a nursing and care home is in many ways similar to working in home care, but the users you meet here often have a greater need for care and support than those you meet in home care. You also work in the user's home here, and it is their needs that determine your tasks.
To work at a nursing home, we require that you can obtain delegation for medication administration.
Summer Bonus, Travel Allowance, and Wellness Contribution
Conditions for a summer bonus of 6,000 SEK:
- You must work eight consecutive weeks during one of these periods; which period is decided based on the operation's needs: Week 23-30, Week 24-31, Week 25-32, or Week 26-33.
- You may have a maximum of one instance of sick leave lasting no more than five days.
- You must also work the equivalent of at least 75% during these eight weeks.
Travel Allowance
A travel allowance of 50 SEK is paid for each completed workday, provided you have worked 10 shifts or more during an eight-week period.
You will also receive a wellness contribution.
Conditions
Hourly contract.
Qualifications and Recruitment Process
We are looking for you who are responsible, responsive, have a pleasant demeanor, and find it easy to collaborate. You also need the willingness to make the day as good as possible for the users through your work.
Education in a healthcare profession and/or previous experience working in care and support is an asset.
For work in certain home care teams, a driver's license is a requirement.
We place great importance on personal qualities.
Good knowledge of the Swedish language is a requirement as the work requires oral and written reporting in our journal system as well as communication with users and colleagues in the team. A language test may occur.
For reference checks, you need to provide a previous manager or supervisor you have had.
If you proceed in the recruitment process, you will be contacted by us to provide and receive more information. If you then proceed to an interview, you need to come prepared with the following documents:
- We perform a check of citizenship and ID. If you are not a citizen of Sweden or another country in the EU/EEA or Switzerland, you need to show that you have a residence and work permit. You also need a valid Swedish ID document.
- Bring grades and diplomas. If you are a trained assistant nurse, we want to see proof of a protected professional title.
- To make employment possible, you must present a valid extract from the criminal register. Order it via the police website, "Work in the home with elderly and persons with disabilities". If your extract is without remarks, you will receive it in Kivra. If you have any remarks in the register, you will receive it in an envelope that must be handed to us unopened, and it must not be older than two months. See the link below to order the extract: Order extract from criminal register (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/arbete-i-hemmet-med-aldre-och-personer-med-funktionsnedsattning-e-tjanst/).
