The company is now looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team in Linköping who shares their passion for technology and quality! Could it be you?

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Organic Response, you will play a central role in ensuring quality, performance, and reliability in their IoT ecosystem, which includes sensors, firmware, a web portal, and mobile applications.

The role is hands-on and largely focused on manual testing, where you will also gradually convert test cases into automated tests. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and sometimes end-users to ensure the product is developed and functions as intended.

The team works in an agile environment where teamwork is valued, and you will collaborate with your colleagues to solve problems and drive work forward. More specifically, the role includes:

• Manual testing of web portal and mobile application
• Testing REST APIs via Postman
• End-to-end testing of the entire flow, from sensor to portal and app
• Creation and management of test plans, test cases, and test scenarios (in Jira)
• Gradual automation of tests (using Patrol and Cypress)
• Testing functionality, user flows, and edge cases to ensure the system works in real-world scenarios
• Working closely with databases to verify data and system behavior
• Collaborating with development teams to identify, prioritize, and follow up on bugs

QUALIFICATIONS

We believe you have an engineering degree in computer science or equivalent, along with a few years of experience in testing within an agile environment. To fit the role, you have experience or knowledge in some, but not necessarily all, of the following:

• Manual testing of web and mobile applications and APIs
• Test automation and scripting, preferably in TypeScript
• REST API testing
• Databases and basic data verification
• Test planning and working with tools like Jira
• Cloud environments, preferably AWS

You also have excellent English skills, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Swedish is an asset.

The sensor nodes in the system are always active, not only to detect the presence of people but also to collect and store data about their location, lighting conditions, and energy consumption. The system is configured through a proprietary cloud-based portal and app. A secure and open API interface offers the possibility to integrate the system into a broader ecosystem, enabling expanded use of smart technology.
