We are looking for handy and practical assemblers for our client in Arendal. In this role, you will work on the assembly, welding, and completion of larger modules, primarily within container conversion.

The work is varied and suits you if you enjoy combining craftsmanship with technology. You will help drive the work forward, contribute to production improvements, and become an important part of the team. Some tasks you perform independently, others together with colleagues – always with a focus on quality and safety.

Your responsibilities:

• Assembly and construction of containers according to drawings and technical documentation

• Welding (MIG/MAG/TIG) as well as sheet metal and steel work

• Machining, repair, and customization according to customer-specific requirements

• Use of various tools and machines for assembly and construction

• Contribute to improvements in production methods, processes, and working environment

We are looking for you who:

• Have experience in construction, assembly, or manufacturing of large products

• Can read and interpret drawings and technical documentation

• Have experience in welding, sheet metal and steel work, as well as machining

• Are practically skilled, solution-oriented, and take your own initiatives

• Are structured, orderly, and have a clear safety mindset

• Speak Swedish fluently and preferably English

• Live in the Gothenburg area

Merits:

• Experience from the welding-mechanical industry or similar

• Familiar with improvement work and Lean principles

• Electrical authorization or electrical knowledge

Traveling Consultant:

You are employed by us at DFDS Professionals but work out at our clients. Being a traveling consultant means that you are employed by DFDS Professionals to perform work in client companies, and thus your workplace, working hours, and tasks may vary within an agreed service area. Selection is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the final application deadline.
