Join us in developing the future of support for relatives. Here, you make a difference – every day.

When a person is chronically ill or has extensive support needs, their relatives are also affected. The Relatives' Center offers support, knowledge, and community to those who stand close by. With us, you will have the space to think anew, drive development, and make a real difference for relatives in all life situations.

Support for relatives is a statutory activity.

Your Responsibilities

As a Relatives' Consultant, you will meet relatives aged 18 and over who support or care for a close relative. You offer support through individual counseling and lead groups where relatives can share experiences and find strength together.

A central part of the assignment is to reach out to more relatives. You will actively work to make the support visible, find new arenas, and develop working methods to meet the target group. You take initiative, drive the work forward, and have the patience to build collaboration where it does not yet exist. You plan and implement information campaigns and contribute to the development of the operation. You use digital tools as a matter of course and see social media as an important channel to reach and engage the target group.

The work is varied and takes place both independently and together with your colleagues.

Your Competence

We are looking for you with an academic degree in a relevant field, such as social work or behavioral sciences, as well as experience of support counseling both individually and in groups.

As a Relatives' Consultant, you should have broad and good knowledge of many of the city's and region's resources, support measures, and partners. You need to be able to guide and direct relatives correctly based on their needs and have the ability to adapt your support based on the person you meet, providing the right support at the right time. You are well-educated, have a holistic perspective, and feel confident navigating society's support structures. Experience working with people living with mental illness, disabilities, or dementia is considered an asset.

You enjoy collaborating and are attentive, empathetic, and unpretentious in your interactions with others. In this role, you need to be outgoing, proactive, and confident in creating contacts and building relationships, especially in the work to reach out and make support for relatives visible. With a curious and creative approach, you are inspired by and welcome to bring your own ideas, seeing opportunities to develop working methods and techniques. Your flexibility makes it easy for you to adapt when conditions change, without losing focus or drive.

Warmly welcome to apply!

We Offer

With us, you will get a varied and meaningful job with great scope to think anew, be creative, and drive development forward. You will become part of an engaged, professional, and unpretentious team where we support each other and work together to make a real difference for relatives.
