With us, you will become an important part of an interdisciplinary team where we work together to create a health-promoting and preventive student health service. You will play a central role in contributing your psychological expertise to support schools in their work to promote students' well-being and learning.

Your Responsibilities

As a school psychologist in Västerås Municipality, you belong to the Central Student Health Service, where we work interdisciplinary with, among others, special educators and speech therapists. You have an important role in supporting our municipal primary schools and adapted primary schools based on their needs.

You work on behalf of the principals and are part of the schools' student health teams. By supervising and guiding principals, work groups, and educators, you contribute to preventive and health-promoting student health work at the individual, group, and organizational levels.

The work also involves analyzing learning environments, conducting assessments, and performing cognitive evaluations. You will also participate in the supervision of special teaching groups and be an active part of the Central Student Health Service's joint development work.

Your Competence

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist with experience in psychological assessments. Experience in supervision or working in a school environment is an asset.

You are confident in your role, independent, and find it easy to collaborate in a team. The role offers great freedom under responsibility, and you enjoy planning your own work, handling several parallel processes, and being at different schools, where you build relationships and switch between individual cases and broader perspectives.

You are flexible and motivated to work in a dynamic environment with many different assignments and levels. While you take your own initiatives and make decisions, you appreciate the strength of a collegial context and actively contribute to good collaboration.

In connection with the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or alternatively a personal certificate together with an ID document.
