We are now looking for a Shift Leader for our restaurant at Scandic Kalmar Väst.

What does the role of Shift Leader Restaurant entail?

You working in our restaurant are the first person the guest meets, which is why it is of great importance that you have a warm attitude and are attentive to details and the guest's needs. You have a burning interest in food and drink and like order and tidiness, both in your own work and that of your colleagues. All to give our guests a fantastic dining experience. Your main tasks will be to serve food and drink and to be responsible for your own cash register. You will also support the hotel team with other tasks as needed. During your time with us, these areas may vary as you and the business develop.

In the role of Shift Leader, you are responsible for always delivering excellent hospitality towards guests and colleagues. In addition to being part of the operations, you have the overall overview of the guest flow in the restaurant and ensure, together with the team, that tasks are prioritized so that operations run smoothly and guests are satisfied. You lead and distribute the work and manage staffing during your shift. If needed, you will have the opportunity to train new employees at the hotel, and you will also relieve the Restaurant Manager with certain administrative tasks.

Who are you?

To fit the role, we believe you have at least two years of experience in restaurant work. Experience with concept-driven operations is a big plus. Since we have guests from all over the world, very good knowledge of Swedish and English is a requirement. You have both the ability and the will to work with operational leadership. You are confident in your leadership and have both integrity and sales drive. However, your personal qualities and attitude are the most important. To fit the role, you need to be a good team player who takes great responsibility for your tasks and the overall result. It is also important that you can convey good hospitality to the hotel's guests.

Information about the position:

The position is a permanent part-time employment, approx. 80%.
