Job Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a qualified Leisure-Time Teacher (F-3) to join Högaholmsskolan!

Our team consists of dedicated colleagues who look forward to your participation in planning our pedagogical work. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, teaching, and assessing students in our leisure-time center. Based on the curriculum and our governing documents, you will create an environment that aims to strengthen our students' knowledge development as well as their personal growth. As a Leisure-Time Teacher with us, you will also work to provide our students with a meaningful leisure time. This includes encouraging diverse contacts, social community, and strengthening group relationships. While our students are in school, you will collaborate with our school staff. It may also be relevant for you to conduct teaching in one or more subjects during the students' school hours.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified Leisure-Time Teacher. Previous experience in the profession is an asset. You have good insight and knowledge of the school's governing documents and apply them in your daily work. Furthermore, you possess strong didactic and pedagogical skills that allow you to independently lead and organize your work to create a study atmosphere and a good learning environment for our students throughout the day. You are creative and can adapt your approach and pedagogical methods and techniques based on the needs of the individual student or student group. You develop the pedagogical activities to be both fun, inspiring, and challenging, and you build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good familiarity and experience, you work efficiently with relevant digital tools.

About the Workplace

In January 2024, we opened Högaholmsskolan in new, beautiful premises. Located in the green area of Lindängen, Högaholmsskolan is a multicultural F-6 school with approximately 430 students. Here, you will find excellent classrooms that are well-insulated and soundproofed, contributing to a pleasant learning environment with a focus on work peace. Facilities include a Science/Art room, home economics room, wood and metal workshop, textile craft room, music room, and a school library. Dedicated staff work here with the goal that our students' school day is characterized by safety, study atmosphere, and a joyful learning environment where student knowledge development is the focus. Högaholmsskolan is a partner school and, in collaboration with Malmö University, we are educating the teachers of the future. The leisure-time center at Högaholmsskolan consists of three independent departments that collaborate with the lower grades during the school day. The leisure-time center has its own premises at the school.
