About Strandängsskolan
Strandängsskolan is a school for grades F-9 with approximately 525 students, located right in central Båstad. We are now looking for a study and career counselor for a temporary position at 80% during the academic year 2026/2027.

Responsibilities
As a study and career counselor with us, you will become a colleague to dedicated and professional staff where we strive together to ensure every student reaches their full potential. As a study and career counselor, you work systematically to ensure all students have good conditions to succeed, both now and in the future.
- Conduct individual and group-based study and career counseling for students in grades F-9, as well as support in these matters at a nearby F-6 school.
- Coordinate and develop the study and career counseling work in a broad perspective, both overall and in daily operations. Close collaboration with school management, teachers, student health services, and parents. Support students in their upper secondary school choices and further study paths.
- Plan and coordinate work experience programs (PRAO).
- Plan, coordinate, and participate in the school's Future Week in collaboration with a colleague at another school and with the business community in Båstad Municipality.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are an educated study and career counselor.
As a person, you have a strong student focus, are engaged, relationship-building, and structured. With us, you work in a broad and dynamic school environment with students from preschool class to grade 9. Here you get the opportunity to work closely with both younger and older students and truly make a difference across all stages of the school. In your role as a study and career counselor (SYV) with us, you have an important role in the promoting and preventive work. You coordinate the entire school's study and career counseling and work closely with teaching staff, school management, and student health services.
You are positive, solution-oriented, and strong in relationships, and you appreciate a creative working method where structure and flexibility go hand in hand. You have good collaboration skills and can build good relationships as the work involves many contact points with students, staff, and parents. Great importance will be placed on personal qualities.
You feel equally confident guiding older students regarding their future study and career choices and enjoy working with younger students.
Employment Terms
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
