About the Education Administration and the Väster Area
The Education Administration is responsible for preschool, primary school, after-school centers, high school, adult education, as well as child and student welfare. Approximately 1,100 employees work here, creating a safe and developing school and childcare environment.
The Väster Area consists of three units: Svarte, Sövestad, and Hedeskoga, all located just outside the urban area. All units operate both preschool and primary school activities. Svarte School and Sövestad School are grades F-6 schools, while the school in Hedeskoga is a grades F-2 school.
In total, the preschools have approximately 170 children, and the schools have just under 400 students. Together, we are almost 100 employees within the area.

Job Responsibilities
With us in the Väster Area, you will have the opportunity, together with another specialist teacher and two special educators, to develop and support our students in their knowledge development. We strive for good collaboration where student welfare professionals and teachers are given the opportunity to work together on students' development and learning.
The assignment includes:
- Teaching individual students and small groups in grades F-6 with a focus on reading, writing, and language development
- Planning, implementing, following up, and documenting support measures
- Working with early interventions as well as preventive and promoting teaching
- Using and adapting evidence-based methods and materials for reading and writing instruction
- Collaborating with teachers regarding teaching, extra adaptations, and special support
- Conducting and participating in pedagogical assessments and follow-up of action plans
- Following up on students' linguistic progression and documenting implemented measures
- Participating in the follow-up of students' results and resource allocation
- Having dialogue with guardians regarding students' development when needed
- Collaborating with student welfare and school leadership in student matters
Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
- Are a licensed teacher in Swedish with a specialist teacher degree with a focus on language, reading, and writing development.
- Have experience working in grades F-6
- Have good knowledge of early reading and writing instruction as well as language disorders and linguistic vulnerability
- Are secure in working with extra adaptations and special support
- Have a good ability to collaborate with colleagues, student welfare, and guardians
- Express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
