Nicolaiskolan is an upper secondary school that combines innovation with strong traditions. The school offers a well-renowned Economics Programme as well as a broad and creative Arts Programme where all specializations are represented. In addition, the established Hairdressing and Styling Programme, the Sales and Service Programme, and the national programme in Design and Sewing Technology are important and defining parts of the operations.

The Introductory Programme and the adapted upper secondary school are other central parts that contribute to the school's holistic and inclusive mission. Together, these programmes create a dynamic, versatile, and inspiring learning environment where students are given good opportunities to develop and succeed.

Responsibilities

As a special educator at Nicolaiskolan, you will be part of a competent student health team working together to develop the school's student health work. The tasks are varied and change according to the needs of the operations, where you primarily work with issues concerning students in need of special support. You support your colleagues in identifying opportunities in learning and teaching environments. This includes, among other things, mentoring teachers both individually and/or in groups. Your task is to work preventively and health-promoting to create an accessible learning environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in special education; competence as an upper secondary school teacher is a requirement. You need to have very good knowledge and a good ability to use the Swedish language, both orally and in writing. It is an asset if you have experience of grading and if you have good knowledge of the governing documents relevant for upper secondary school.

You enjoy collaborating with people, not least young people! You show interest and understanding for others and the differences that exist in both student and adult groups. You contribute to a positive climate at the school and you like to build good relationships with everyone around you. Great importance is attached to personal suitability as well as the ability to organize and cooperate.
