The Education Department is responsible for, among other things, preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, upper secondary school, and adapted upper secondary school. Responsibilities also include student health services, mother tongue instruction, school transport, and school meals. Description

The Principal Area Urban West is now seeking a craft teacher for grades 3-6. Here is a principal area with engaged, knowledgeable, and considerate staff as well as curious students who need a passionate craft teacher to count on. Tasks

As a craft teacher at Urban West, you will teach textile crafts and wood and metal crafts. It is important to us that you function well in interaction with students and colleagues and view collegial learning as a prerequisite for student development. You work goal-oriented with a focus on the students. You work in close collaboration with your team, the school's student health team, and other staff at the school.

You are responsible for planning, implementation, and follow-up of the pedagogical work based on the school's governing documents and the student's needs. You create good cooperation with guardians and actively participate in the school's development work. In the classroom, you are a secure leader who treats students based on their prerequisites. You have high expectations of the students while giving them responsibility. You are responsible for maintaining a high safety standard and can instruct students in safe handling in the workshop.

Your teaching is permeated by a language- and knowledge-developing approach characterized by student participation, clear learning goals that are evaluated and followed up. Your lessons have a clear progression, and the lesson content is explained and put into context for the students.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher with authorization to teach textile crafts and wood and metal crafts for grades 3-6. If you have authorization and/or competence in any other subject, it is an asset. You have good knowledge of the primary school's governing documents as well as good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. You are a secure and stable person with self-insight who collaborates well with others in an attentive and smooth way and treats students based on their prerequisites.

Work is structured and carried out with good planning, clear organization, and effective follow-up. If you have previous experience working as a teacher, it is an asset. We highly value the ability to interest, enthuse, and engage.
