Job Description

Our Electrical & Automation department at AFRY is currently a team of 25 colleagues based in Jönköping. We work on everything from electrical design, programming, risk assessments within machine safety, and project management to electrical inspections. As a Senior Automation Engineer with us, you will work on automation assignments across several different industries, with a focus on the manufacturing industry and local customers. Your focus will be on programming industrial control systems (PLC/HMI/SCADA) and commissioning – from feasibility studies and solution proposals to verification and commissioning in both test environments and on-site at the customer.

The role will involve programming and commissioning, troubleshooting and optimization, documentation and reporting, as well as close collaboration with colleagues and customers. Assignments may in some cases require security clearance, now or in the future.

The group consists of knowledgeable and engaged colleagues where experience and knowledge sharing is a strong part of the culture, with extensive and broad competence as support in everyday work.

We primarily work in a project format and collaborate with colleagues in other geographies and technical areas. Qualifications

To fit into the role with us, we believe you have:

• At least 5 years of experience as an automation engineer.
• Documented experience of programming and commissioning within industrial automation.
• Knowledge regarding installation, assembly, and commissioning.
• Relevant university or vocational education (or equivalent experience).
• Good knowledge of Swedish (native level) and English in speech and writing; German is an asset.

It is an asset if you have:

• Deep knowledge within industrial automation and/or experience of driving parts of projects.
• Specialization in programming of industrial control systems.
