The Company...

Åkerblads Hotel & Guesthouse is a family-owned business that has been in the family's possession since the 15th century. Today, the 19th–22nd generation of Åkerblad works with a strong team of 50 to offer guests an unforgettable experience.

Åkerblads Hotel & Guesthouse consists of 73 unique and personally decorated guest rooms, as well as a guesthouse offering locally produced ingredients of high standard and class for both weekend guests and conference attendees. The hotel is currently classified as four-star and aims for constant development where quality is one of the cornerstones.

Our latest addition to the company is our spa department, where we offer 3 treatment rooms, 1 duo treatment room, 1 hydrotherapy pool, and a spa suite with its own bubble pool and sauna. The spa department also features a newly built section with an outdoor spring and lounge area where the pool bar offers refreshment for guests. The gym, sauna, and exclusive changing rooms have now been joined by a brand new pool area.

Your Responsibilities...

As a receptionist, you work at the hotel's reception and serve as the company's voice and face to our guests. You and your colleagues have good insight into the booking situation and are responsible for ensuring that conference, group, and private bookings are handled professionally. You work together with the team on all tasks occurring at the reception. The reception team works closely not only with the owner family but also with the hotel's department heads; simply put, you are the spider in the web. Experience with the Jupiter booking system is an asset but not a requirement. Your working hours vary in both time and days. The hotel reception is open every weekday and public holiday, but not overnight.

About You...

You do not need previous experience working at a hotel reception, although it is considered an asset. The most important thing for us is that you have a positive attitude and a passion for working with people, being part of making our guests' day as special and memorable as possible.

Good language skills in Swedish and English are a requirement. Other languages are considered an asset. The most important thing for us is finding the right employee, and we believe you will recognize yourself in the following: You are structured, flexible, and good at taking initiative. You feel a strong responsibility for ensuring the meeting between you and the guest is professional and personal. You are curious, patient, and have a solution-oriented attitude; furthermore, you always have a cheerful mood and a large portion of common sense. You create engagement, joy, and pride, and your colleagues respect you for being considerate and driven.

Information...

We are looking for you and offer a temporary position during the summer months, to be filled according to agreement. For us, the start date is not the most important thing, but rather finding the right employee.
