The Service Administration is Falu Municipality's provider of internal services and ancillary services according to an FM concept, local supply, and management of most of the municipality's properties. The mission is to support the municipality's various operations by providing suitable and functional premises, tasty and nutritious meals, vehicles, and transport services along with several ancillary services. Falu Municipality is regionally the leading public employer in developing FM services and support based on BIM. This development occurs in both construction and management.

As a chef with us, you will be part of a large and dedicated team that prepares meals that truly make a difference every day. In our production kitchen in Haraldsbo, we prepare about 3,700 portions daily – meals that reach children in preschools and schools, students at Hälsinggård School and the high school in Haraldsbo, as well as the elderly in the municipality's care.

We work according to established menus and nutritional guidelines and take great care to ensure that every meal is both tasty, nutritious, and safe. We also prepare special diets for allergies and needs for adjusted consistency.

The operation is run by about 20 chefs and five head chefs under the leadership of the kitchen manager – a professional and close-knit team where we help each other and work with genuine commitment to food and people.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a full-time chef for our production kitchen in Haraldsbo.

You will be responsible together with the team for the quality and safety of the food. The tasks rotate and may also include dietary cooking, dishwashing, serving, cleaning, and packing for delivery.

Qualifications

The following is required for the role:

• Education in large kitchen/restaurant or work experience deemed equivalent by the employer
• Good knowledge, education/experience in special diets
• Knowledge of HACCP, self-control for kitchens.
• Good computer skills, we use computers as support in daily work
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish in both speech and writing

You should be able to solve problems, work independently, and take responsibility, but also collaborate with colleagues and others.
