Server at O’Learys Borlänge

About the role: Your primary role as a server at O’Learys Borlänge is to ensure that our guests have a fantastic experience when they visit us. This means constantly focusing on the guests, welcoming and attending to each guest, being attentive and helpful, and professionally meeting the guests' requests! You assist guests to their tables, present the menu and take orders, serve food and drinks, and provide excellent service throughout their visit with us.

Your responsibilities include:

• Serving food and drinks according to service sequence 

• Welcoming and attending to guests with a smile, guiding them to tables or activities in the absence of a host  

• Being responsible for presenting the menu and offers to guests 

• Ensuring that guests receive the best possible service and overall experience  

• Taking orders via iPad and delivering accurate tickets to the kitchen 

• Ensuring compliance with alcohol laws and checking ID for individuals under 25  

• Processing payments and providing receipts upon completion of sales  

• Alerting the manager or security staff if a guest has consumed too much alcohol or is creating an inappropriate atmosphere 

• Actively driving sales of add-ons and upselling such as dips, appetizers, drinks, and desserts 

• Informing our guests about our activities and other offers in a friendly and welcoming manner 

• Preparing and organizing the venue before opening/closing and carefully following service routines and manuals  

• Clearing tables, cleaning, and collecting dishes and trash and placing them in designated areas 

• Ensuring that service stations are well-organized and stocked  

• Supporting all areas of the restaurant such as dishwashing, greeting, activities, kitchen, bar, and nightclub 

• Keeping iPads, cash registers, and card terminals in good condition and ensuring cash registers are accurate 

Desired experience and qualities:

• At least 20 years old

• At least one year of work experience as serving staff in a restaurant/bar and has good cash handling skills 

• Fluent in spoken and written Swedish and has good knowledge of English  

• At least a high school diploma  

• Relationship-building, stress-resistant, and enjoys working as part of a team 

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously  

• Problem solver focused on creating a great experience for the guest 

• Passionate about food, drinks, sports, and people
