Food and Premises Services offers catering and cleaning services to preschools, primary schools, upper secondary schools, and special needs housing.

Food Service currently consists of approximately 70 units divided into central kitchens, kitchens with on-site preparation, and receiving kitchens. The production volume is approximately 10,000 portions per day.

Premises Services is an internal service unit that offers our customers services within premises maintenance, transportation, laundry, etc.

Approximately 250 employees work at Food and Premises Services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a cook for Alice Lund's Education Center, which is one of four kitchens serving lunch to the municipality's upper secondary schools.

In the kitchen, you work together with three colleagues, and together you are responsible for the daily operations and for creating a pleasant and professional catering service.

Our goal is to serve Sweden's friendliest meals. This means that we not only cook good and nutritious food – we also create a positive dining experience in an environment characterized by joy of food, a sense of service, and sustainability.

For the position, in addition to a great interest in cooking, you must have good knowledge of special diets and adapted meals. You work with service, which means finding solutions to challenges that work together with your colleagues in the kitchen. You are attentive to the diners and use your knowledge and creativity to develop the meals. For all guests to have a good and pleasant lunch, you must be accustomed to working in a structured manner.

You follow the organization's guidelines and set goals, participate in holiday planning, and are loyal to decisions made within the organization.

We work in several different operational systems, so you who apply need to be accustomed to working with computers, and we would prefer if you have previously worked with our systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic requirements for the position:

• Upper secondary school diploma in food technology, large-scale kitchen, or hotel and restaurant education.
• You must also have worked as a cook for a couple of years. You work habitually based on hygiene regulations and have good knowledge of special diets and adapted meals.
• Hygiene training/HAACP training or equivalent knowledge.
• Very good oral and written skills in Swedish.
• Computer skills.

Personal qualities:

• You are meticulous and structured.
• Sometimes things don't go as planned, so you need to be flexible and able to adapt quickly to the circumstances. You have the ability to organize your work even under stress.
• Great importance is placed on you being accustomed to collaborating, being service-oriented, and communicative; you need to have a good dialogue with customers and colleagues in daily work. You are engaged and have a desire to develop the meal into one of the highlights of the day for the diners. You are accustomed to thinking sustainably, seasonally, and circularly. You always strive for high quality in the food you cook. You should like challenges and think "we do it together"!

Meritorious qualifications:

• Category B driver's license
