Food and local services provide meal and cleaning services to preschools, primary schools, high schools, and special housing.

Food service currently consists of about 70 units divided into central kitchens, self-catering kitchens, and receiving kitchens. The production is about 10,000 portions per day.

Local service is an internal service unit that offers our customers services in cleaning, transportation, laundry, etc.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a cook for the Gylle school kitchen. Gylle school is a K-9 school with about 880 students. With its large geographical catchment area, the school is one of the largest primary schools in Dalarna. Working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday.

For the position, in addition to a great interest in cooking, you need to have good knowledge of special diets and adapted meals. You will work with service, which means finding solutions to challenges that work together with your colleagues in the kitchen. You are attentive to the diners and use your knowledge and creativity to develop the meals. To ensure that all guests have a pleasant lunch, you need to be used to working in a structured manner.

You follow the organization's guidelines and set goals, participate in vacation planning, and are loyal to decisions made in the organization.

We work in several different operational systems, so you who are applying need to be comfortable working with computers, and we would like you to have previously worked with our systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic requirements for the position:

• Food technology line or education in large kitchens or hotel and restaurant education.
• You have worked or are currently working as a cook. You are familiar with hygiene regulations and have good knowledge of special diets and adapted meals, as well as good computer skills.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Personal qualities:

• You are meticulous and structured.
• Sometimes things don't go as planned, so you need to be flexible and quickly adapt to the prevailing circumstances. You have the ability to organize your work even under stress.
• Experience in collaboration, service-oriented and communicative, you need to have a good dialogue with customers and colleagues in daily work. You are engaged and have a desire to develop the meal into one of the highlights of the day for the diners. You are used to thinking sustainably, seasonally, and circularly. You always strive for high quality in the food you prepare. You should enjoy challenges and think we do it together!

Desirable qualifications:

• Driving license B.
