About the Education Administration
The Education Administration is responsible for preschools, pedagogical care, after-school centers, preschool classes, compulsory school, adapted compulsory school, upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, municipal adult education, adult education as special education for adults, Swedish for immigrants (SFI), youth centers, open preschools, and music schools.
Preschool and after-school center activities are available at all seven F-6 schools, spread geographically across the entire municipality.
Altorpskolan, the municipality's only grades 7-9 school, accepts students from all our F-6 schools and is strategically located in central Herrljunga. Kunskapskällan, the municipality's upper secondary school, is also located in the Herrljunga urban area.
Altorpskolan has approximately 340 students, with around 50 staff members working around the students. The school currently has thirteen classes but will expand to fourteen classes in autumn 2026 and is led by two principals. The school has undergone a complete renovation that will be fully completed during the spring term of 2026.

Job Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a qualified Mathematics teacher, possibly in combination with another subject. We apply team teaching in mathematics, which means you will work as two teachers for at least two lessons per week.
You will:
- Teach Mathematics in grades 7-9.
- Act as a mentor for a class (together with a mentor colleague).
- Plan, conduct, and document your teaching based on curriculum documents, individually and together with colleagues in subject and work teams.
- Undertake professional development in mathematics teaching within the framework of the cross-administrative mathematics project.
Qualifications
We are looking for teachers with a teaching license and solid subject knowledge. You are an engaged teacher who can set boundaries and create a safe classroom climate. As a mentor, we see you as a key person in your mentees' school journey. You take responsibility for the entire school's development and want to drive it into the future together with us.
Employment type: Permanent employment.
