About the Job
Are you passionate about helping others and want to be a reassuring voice in vulnerable situations? Then you might be the one we are looking for as an Alarm Operator! With us, you will have a meaningful job where you make a difference every day for people who need support. We are looking for someone who, when needed, can work as an alarm operator during the day, evening, and night.
As an alarm operator, you are an important part of our safety chain. You receive incoming safety alarms from people in ordinary housing and make quick, well-founded assessments to determine what intervention is needed. Sometimes a supportive conversation is enough; other times, you need to forward the case to home care, home health care, or another actor.
The role requires that you can make decisions under time pressure with limited information, but always with the individual's best interests in focus. You perform an initial needs analysis, provide guidance, and ensure that the right help is connected. You also work with digital supervision and collaborate daily with home care staff, healthcare personnel, and relatives.
In the role of alarm operator, you are responsible for receiving and handling incoming safety alarms, assessing what support is needed, whether it is digital support, a physical intervention, or forwarding the case to the right actor. You have supportive and social conversations with users and make important assessments regarding when healthcare should be contacted. The work also involves documenting according to current guidelines and performing digital supervision. You have close contact with relatives, healthcare personnel, and other collaboration partners to ensure that every person receives the help they need.
The Safety Duty operates 24/7 to create safety at home for the elderly and people with disabilities. We are responsible for three main tasks: to manage operations during duty hours, provide emergency assistance according to the Social Services Act (SoL), and receive alarm calls from approximately 11,300 connected safety phones. We also perform supervision via safety cameras.
Approximately 50 employees work with us, including technicians, alarm operators, and duty managers. We have high quality requirements, and our goal is always to meet the individual's needs with safety, respect, and professionalism.
Welcome to become part of an engaged team. Together we create the world's best city for a long and dignified life!
About You
The position requires a high school diploma in health and social care, social work, or another high school education that the employer considers equivalent.

You are computer literate and experienced in documenting in digital systems. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Additional language skills are considered an asset.
We are looking for someone who is communicative, attentive, and independent.
Communicative - You convey information and ideas clearly, both orally and in writing. You ensure that your message gets across. You adapt your communication to the recipient, target group, and situation.
Attentive - You are alert and open to understanding other people's needs, feelings, and opinions. You are receptive to what others say or express and show respect, consideration, and care in your treatment. You see setbacks as something to learn from.
