The federation's eight schools are located in natural and mountainous environments spread across six municipalities – Berg, Bräcke, Krokom, Ragunda, Åre, and Östersund.

Jämtlands Gymnasium Fyrvalla is the heart of vocational technical education in Jämtland. Here, all vocational upper secondary programs and several adult education courses are housed in adapted learning environments with modern equipment. The school maintains close cooperation with the region's business community across various industries.

Description

We are seeking a teacher for the Electricity and Energy Programme, specialisation in Electrical Engineering. The position is a permanent full-time role (100%), starting August 10, 2026, or by agreement.

Your future tasks

The main content of the position is teaching within the Electricity and Energy Programme, primarily focusing on the Data, Alarms, and Communication profile, but also working with electrical engineering. Knowledge of electrical engineering is an asset. Teaching involves planning, conducting, and reviewing both practical and theoretical components related to the courses.

As the specialisation is currently under development, we consider it essential that you are open to development and curious about new challenges. Students have work-based learning (APL) at companies, so the role includes securing and following up on students' learning during their internships.

The assignment may also include mentoring.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a background as an electrician. Knowledge and experience in data and communication, alarm and surveillance systems, and building automation are considered assets. Authorization as an electrical engineer (AL) is desirable.

As a person, you are accustomed to working both independently and in a team. You take responsibility for your own development and learn from others. You view the computer as a natural tool in your daily life. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. Since contact with the business community is part of the work, local industry knowledge is an asset. We wish for a more balanced gender distribution and welcome female applicants to the position.
