About the Role

As a backend developer with a database focus at the National Board of Health and Welfare (E-hälsomyndigheten), you will work in a cross-functional team building, further developing, and improving our services and systems. You will work with modern technologies and methodologies, where database development and maintenance are combined with system development, automated testing, CI/CD, and elements of DevOps.

In your role, you will actively participate in quality assurance of solutions based on both functional and non-functional requirements through continuous work on performance optimization and technical improvements.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Academic education in data/IT or equivalent work experience
• At least two years of current experience in database development and data modeling in PostgreSQL or other modern, open relational databases
• At least one year of experience in backend development in e.g., Java, Python, or R
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Current experience with transaction-intensive systems handling large data volumes
• Current experience with version control tools such as Liquibase or Flyway
• Current experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI
• Current experience working with container-based technologies, e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
